PLANNING COMMISSION GENERAL PLAN SUB-COMMITTEE VISIONING WORKSHOP FOR THE GENERAL PLAN UPDATE

MAY 20, 2004; 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M; Hermosa View School Multi-Purpose Room, 1800 Prospect Avenue, Hermosa Beach, California,

The General Plan sub-committee of the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach will hold a public meeting to continue the visioning process for the General Plan Update. The topic and agenda for the workshop are as follows:

  1. Introduction

  2. Visioning Topic with Guest Speaker

    Topic: The future of Hermosa Beach - Will your kids be part of it?

    Guest Speaker: Peter Hoffman, Hermosa Beach Planning Commissioner and Professor of Urban Studies, Loyola Marymount University

    The speaker will discuss tonight's topic, which will be followed by a question and answer session

  3. Visioning, A Participatory Workshop

    Introduction and Ground Rules - Ron Pizer Planning Commissioner

  4. Visioning Workshop - Laura Raymond, Facilitator

    Participants will provide input by voicing what they like and dislike about the City, and what they want to see in the future. Each participant's input will be recorded on a Vision Matrix for incorporation into the General Plan Update goals, objectives, policies and programs.
