PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION APPLICATIONS

 

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk's Office to prepare an agenda item for the Regular City Council meeting of September 12, 2000, for the Council appointment of five members to the newly created Public Works Commission.

 

Background:

At its meeting of August 8, 2000, the City Council received applications from sixteen residents, all qualified electors of the City, for the position of member of the new Public Works Commission. Those applicants were:

Matt Miller	James B. Paterson	Phil A. Pennington

Victor C. Winnek

At that meeting the City Council directed that an interview meeting be set for Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at 6:00 P.M. and that the application period be extended to Wednesday, August 30, 2000, at 6:00 P.M.
