PROJECT NO. CIP 97-182 MYRTLE AVENUE UTILITY UNDERGROUNDING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 97-1 – APPROVAL OF MODIFIED ENGINEER’S FINAL REPORT

 

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Modified Final Engineer’s Report for Assessment District No. 97-1 (Myrtle Avenue Utility Undergrounding).

 

Background:

There is one modification to the Assessment District No. 97-1 (Myrtle Avenue Utility Undergrounding) Engineer’s Final Report dated February 13, 1999. In the Final Engineer’s Report, the parcel identified by Assessment Number 184, Assessor Parcel Number 4182-028-009 located at 413 25 ^th Street, Hermosa Beach was assessed for the special benefit of the utility undergrounding works of improvement. According to the final Southern California Edison design plans, the parcel will not receive an underground utility service connection and will not benefit from the utility undergrounding. Therefore the parcel, known by Assessor Parcel Number 4182-028-009, is hereby removed from the Assessment District. That is the only modification to the Final Engineer’s Report.

On July 13, 1999, the City Council held a Public Hearing in association with Utility Undergrounding Assessment District No. 97-1. At the conclusion of the hearing, the City Council adopted a series of resolutions, including Resolution No. 99-5988 approving the Engineer’s Report prepared by Berryman & Henigar.
