BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES TRANSFER OF FRANCHISE FROM BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF CALIFORNIA, INC. TO BFI WASTE SYSTEMS OF NORTH AMERICA, INC. (BFI WASTE)

Recommendation:

That the City Council approve the transfer of the agreement as requested to BFI Waste Systems of North America, Inc. and direct the City Manager to execute the transfer consent letter.

Background:

I have attached a letter from BFI requesting the transfer. The City's agreement and all of its provisions will continue in full force and effect. The agreement provides that it can be assigned with the consent of the City. This is really an internal reorganization and should not have any impact on the City.
