RECOMMENDATION TO DENY CLAIM

Recommendation:

It is recommended that City Council deny the following claim and refer it to the City's Liability Claims Administrator.

1. Claimant : Pier Connection

Date of Loss : 04/18/97

Date Filed : 05/05/97

Allegation : Claimant alleges "Lack of notification re. work on lower Pier Avenue; i.e. workers without notice started plowing and/or pushing sand into store", thereby causing damage to goods

A copy of the claim is available in the Office of the City Clerk for review.

In addition to the above the City has received and resolved the following claims:

1. Claimant : Kristine Niksic

Date of Loss: 02/09/97

Damage : Metal plate cover storm drain not in place and corner

of plate punctured right front tire.

Disposition : City paid $159.97 for costs incurred by claimant to

replace tire.

2. Claimant : Roger Greeham

Date of Loss: 03/31/97

Damage : Main sewer line was blocked causing claimant to incur

plumbing expenses.

Disposition : City reimbursed claimant $275.00 for expenses
