PROJECT NO. 003-99 GOLDEN AVENUE
STREET IMPROVEMENTS - ACCEPTANCE

 

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the City Council:

  1. Accept the work by EC Construction for Project No. 003-99 Golden Avenue Street Improvements;

  2. Authorize the Mayor to sign the Notice of Completion; and

  3. Authorize Staff to release payment to EC Construction (10% retained for 35 days following filing of Notice of Completion).

 

Background:

On September 26, 2000, City Council approved the award of the construction contract for Golden Avenue Street Improvements to EC Construction, in the amount of $13,955.00. The proposed work included removal and reconstruction of the street, sidewalk, driveway and appurtenant work from approximately 14 feet north of 15th Street to 74 feet north of 15th Street.

The contractor has completed the work to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer.

 

Fiscal Impact :

This project was completed under budget, therefore, no additional appropriation is required. The remaining funds in the amount of $2,091.60 will be returned to Account No. 001-3104-4201.
