APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR DESIGN

 

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Request for Proposals (RFP) and authorize Staff to solicit proposals.

 

Background:

Project No. CIP 00-171 and Project No. CIP 00-172 are both small and similar street improvement projects. Therefore, Staff has combined both projects in the RFP in order to expedite the design, reduce administrative costs, and reduce consultant fees to the City.

The services of a consultant engineer are needed to supplement the engineering capacity of the Public Works Department. These services will include the preparation of detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates and other construction documents as required.
