Letter from Jennica Huff (Habitat for Humanity), requesting a fee waiver for their meeting at the Clark Building on August 14, 2001.

Jennica Huff, Outreach Coordinator, spoke on behalf of Habitat for Humanity.

Motion: "To approve the request from Habitat for Humanity for a rental fee waiver for one meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 14, 2001, in the Clark Building."
Fishman/Francis – All Ayes

Letter from Tony Jones requesting that a new volleyball court be added to the existing courts between Second Street and Herondo Avenue; and

Letter from the South of Second Street Strand Owners regarding the removal of "at least two" volleyball courts south of Second Street.

Motion: "To receive and file."

Public Comment

Jazz Memorial Plaque Project.

Ozzie Cadena spoke on behalf of the proposed project.

Motion: "To send a memo to Council from the Commission recommending that the Jazz Plaques be placed in the Plaza area (on locations such as the lighted seating cubes) and that the Commission subcommittee (Bell/Fishman) would work with Ozzie Cadena to develop a program and criteria for selecting the honorees."
