PROJECT NO. CIP 99-627 COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS - FENCING
 APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS & ESTIMATES
AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS

 

Recommendation :

It is recommended that the City Council:

1. Approve the plans, specifications, estimates, order the work and call for bids; and
2. Instruct the City Clerk to post Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for said project.

 

Background :

The 1999-2000 Capital Improvement Project Budget provides for the replacement of the Community Center fencing. On June 13, 2000, Council approved an agreement with David & Evans Associates (DEA), Inc. to prepare the plans, specifications and cost estimates (PS&E) for the proposed work.

The general scope of work consists of the complete removal and disposal of existing fencing. Additionally, there is site preparation, installation of the proposed chain- linked fencing and appurtenant work.

The PS&E’s have been approved by the Director of Public Works and are ready for bid.

 

Fiscal Impact :

The engineer’s estimate for this project is $65,500.
