A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA TO AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL OF A COMPLETE LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM TO THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION FOR CERTIFICATION

 

The City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach does hereby resolve as follows:

Section 1. Portions of the City of Hermosa Beach are located within the Coastal Zone and subject to the requirements of the California Public Resources Code, Division 20, California Coastal Act of 1976, as amended:

Section 2. The City of Hermosa Beach desires to certify their Local Coastal Program, including Land Use Plan and Implementing Ordinance, and obtain the authority to issue Coastal Development Permits:

Section 3. The Planning Commission and City Council gave full consideration to the proposed Local Coastal Program at properly noticed and advertised public hearings and the City Council approved the proposed Local Coastal Program, including amendments to the Certified Coastal Land Use Plan, and amendments to the Municipal Code, Zoning Ordinance to adopt provisions to implement the Program.

Section 4 . Based on the foregoing the City Council does hereby resolve to submit a completed Local Coastal Program, and authorizes transmittal of all relevant documents and maps that make up the City’s Local Coastal Program to the California Coastal Commission.
