GOALS & OBJECTIVES MEETING

Recommendation:

That the City Council set a date for a special meeting to review and update the City Council's goals and objectives.

Background:

The City Council has conducted several "goals" sessions over the last six years, setting up a work plan for city staff to follow. The proposed session is designed to set policy direction for the next couple of years. In the past, these sessions have served to build consensus to embark on various projects and initiatives to improve the City and the services it provides to residents, businesses and visitors.

In order to provide a starting point for your discussion, staff will provide a status of all projects, etc. for your use prior to the meeting. Once the "goals" session has been completed, the information will be used to develop next years budget and work plan.
