FAIR HOUSING AMENDMENTS ACT OF 1998 - HR3206
Recommendation:
That the City Council review the attached bill and determine whether or not you wish to take a position on it.
Background:
Staff was directed to return with a copy of the legislation for your review prior to taking a position on the proposed amendments to the Fair Housing Act. An analysis of the bill prepared by the National League of Cities is also attached.
If the City Council decides to take a position, staff should be directed to prepare a letter for the Mayor's signature.
