RECOMMENDATION: TO APPROVE THE REQUEST FROM

PROJECT TOUCH TO CONDUCT A CLASSIC CAR SHOW ON

CLARK FIELD, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1997 FROM 10:00 A.M.

TO 6:00 P.M. WITH THE STATED REQUIREMENTS AND WAIVERS.

B. Sister Cities: Hermosa Beach's 90th Birthday Celebration with Sister CityLoreto, Mexico

RECOMMENDATION: TO APPROVE THE REQUEST FROM SISTER

CITY ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

ON THE COMMUNITY CENTER PARKING LOT ON JULY 26, 1997

FROM 7:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M. WITH THE STATED REQUIREMENTS

AND WAIVERS.

C. Greenbelt Improvements

RECOMMENDATION: TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED GREENBELT

IMPROVEMENT ALTERNATIVES GIVEN BY HEIMBERGER,

HIRSCH & ASSOCIATES AND DIRECT STAFF TO PROCEED

WITH THE SELECTED ALTERNATIVE.

D. Park Improvements: Hermosa Valley Park - Council Input

RECOMMENDATION: TO DISCUSS THE ITEMS SUBMITTED BY

CITY COUNCIL FOR CONSIDERATION; AMEND THE PLAN

ACCORDINGLY; AND FORWARD THE AMENDED PLAN TO

CITY COUNCIL FOR FINAL APPROVAL.

CONSENT ITEMS:

The following more routine matters will be acted upon by one vote to

approve with the majority consent of the Commission.

E. Lease Renewal for Project Touch for Room 3 in the Community Center

RECOMMENDATION: TO APPROVE RENEWAL OF THE LEASE

AGREEMENT FOR ONE YEAR BETWEEN THE CITY AND PROJECT

TOUCH FOR ROOM 3 IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER.

Park Improvements: Hermosa Valley Park: Direct staff to take the following

comments back to the Commission: 1) No 10' - 12" walkways, 2) do not

remove basketball court and 3) pursue alternative area to accommodate

current uses of the concrete pad.

Film Festival: Use of Pier and Beach for Free Movie Preview: Approved.

Youth Skateboard Track Proposal: Joint Project with Redondo Beach -

Triton Oil Site: Write a letter to Redondo Beach encouraging joint project

and to form a subcommittee of Council Members Benz and Oaks and

Commissioners Aronoff and Abrams.
