  1. Presentation of the TyCom Transpacific Fiber Optic Cable Project

Recommendation: To receive and file the attached Notice of Preparation for the TyCom Submarine Fiber Optic Cable Project (DPD #01-10) and provide specific feedback the Commission may have on this project.

  1. Picnic Committee Request for Approval of "Picnic in the Outfield" Hermosa Beach Community Picnic

Recommendation: To approve and forward the request to City Council for final approval to hold the Community Picnic from 11:00am to 4:00pm on September 22, 2001 at Clark Field and to appropriate funds from the donation by Mervyn’s California for the specific purpose of a community picnic.

  1. Lease Renewal Agreement between the City of Hermosa Beach and the Association for Retarded Citizens, Easter Seals Society, and the City of Redondo Beach South Bay Youth Project

Recommendation: To approve the attached lease renewal agreements between the City of Hermosa and the Association for Retarded Citizens, Easter Seals Society, and the City of Redondo Beach South Bay Youth Project.

  1. Lease Renewal Agreement and Fee Waiver between the City of Hermosa Beach and the Community Center Foundation for Room 6C in the Community Center

Recommendation: To approve the attached lease agreement and fee waiver between the City and the Community Center Foundation for the use of Room 6C in the Community Center.

  1. Assign a Commissioner to be the liaison between the Parks, Recreation and Community Resources Advisory Commission and the Community Center Foundation subcommittee and assign a Commissioner to participate in the Clark Field subcommittee with Commissioner Bell.

Recommendation: To approve the assignment of a Commissioner to participate in the Community Center Foundation subcommittee and the assignment of a Commissioner to participate in the Clark Field subcommittee.

Recommendation to accept donation of $324.00 from Downey Vendors to be used for the Community Resources Hockey Program. Action: To accept donation.

Recommendation to receive and file action minutes from the Parks, Recreation and Community Resources Advisory Commission meeting of June 5, 2001. Action: Receive and file.
