Highway Traffic Signal Improvement Project
- Recommendation: It is recommended that the Commission
support the Traffic Signal Improvement Project.

Request To Close 30th Street
West of Sepulveda Boulevard at the BMW Dealership and
Request to Install Stop Signs on Ardmore Avenue at 30th
Street
- Recommendation: It is recommended that the
Commission:

- Refer the Request to close 30th Street west of
Sepulveda Boulevard at the BMW dealership back to Staff
for further study, and
- Support the Request to Install Stop signs on
Ardmore at 30th Street.

- Recommendation: It is recommended that the Commission
support the proposed list of CIP Projects for FY
2001-02.

Status of safety lighting at Aviation
Boulevard and Prospect Avenue

- Why are there raised landscaped medians on Sepulveda
Boulevard in the City of Manhattan Beach but none on Pacific
Coast Highway in the City of Hermosa Beach?
- Letter of request has been sent to Caltrans.
- Mr. Jim Lissner of Hermosa Beach indicated that he
recalls Caltrans having promised to perform a parking study
along Pacific Coast Highway to determine the impact of the
lost curbside parking as a result of a Caltrans project seven
or eight years ago. If this is correct, what is the status of
the parking study?
- Letter of request has been sent to Caltrans.
- Sepulveda Boulevard/Pacific Coast Highway Traffic Signal
Improvement Project –
- Comments will be addressed in item 6a herein.
- Commissioner Cheatham inquired as to the possibility of
dampening the sound of the foghorn
on the east facing side.
