Special note, Oct. 2007:  Purely by coincidence, the 2007 City-sponsored measure to increase the UUT was given the same ballot letter designation as the 2001 Citizen-sponsored measure to repeal the UUT!

The following are the gross wages paid to Hermosa City personnel in calendar year 2000. On these lists provided by the City's Personnel Department, each line represents one specific employee.

To make comparisons to private-industry wages, add 4.5% to the wages noted here. (The City contributes 9% to the PERS retirement fund but does not deduct 1/2 of that from employees' pay, as is the norm in private industry.)  [Post-election correction:  The PERS contribution is 9% for "safety employees only.  For all others it is 7%.]
