We did a survey of all the candidates.  Tucker was the only one who didn't respond.  Survey Results page. 



"I got Edgerton and Tucker elected."  (Ron Newman, founder of Sharkeez, to small gathering outside council chambers, Spring 2007.)  There are also leaked internal documents showing that the bars are asking their patrons to vote for Tucker and Jeff Maxwell.



Tucker has been a strong supporter of the bars downtown.  See Tucker's voting record, 1994 - 2007.



The bars pay only 1/4 of the cost of Pier Plaza public safety and other City services to the Plaza.  Hermosa residents pay the rest.  See this tabulation.  As recently as the council meeting of July 31, Tucker opposed revising the business license tax to make Plaza establishments pay their fair share.  Instead, he is supporting Measure H, which will expand the grasp of the Utility Tax onto services primarily used by residents.



In an insert in the Nov. 1st Easy Reader, Tucker said that I am Michael DiVirgilio's "de-facto campaign manager."  Anyone watching can see that DiVirgilio has been running a clean and positive campaign, so I would be very proud if I was his manager.  But I'm not his manager, or advisor.  I've spoken to him about 10 minutes during this entire campaign season.  I believe that he is managing his own campaign.

Tucker's attempt to smear DiVirgilio by linking him with me speaks loudly of Tucker's desperation to get re-elected at any cost.
